This is a modification of the “woven x’s” design featured in Susan Jones’ book Egg-Cetera: Egg Designs for the Adventurous (p. 8). This pysanka actually retains most of her color scheme and one of her floral motifs. I modified the arcs to have thicker, tapered white outlines and actually used two different shades of Rose Red to enhance the weaving effect. You can see the green didn’t agree with the shell on this one!
